FOR THE LOVE OF LEADERSHIP ARCHIVE
Reminder: Take Time to Celebrate
I am frequently reminding my clients to reflect on their accomplishments and celebrate their wins -
✅ The big ones that mark milestones in their organization’s financial goals or retention goals, and
✅ The small ones that move the needle, but so easily get buried under the yet-to-be-solved challenges
But, truth be told?
It’s a rare day that I actually take the time to celebrate my own wins. It’s way too easy to move right onto the one million other things that need time and attention.
It’s something I’m working to be more intentional about this year, and now is the perfect time to start.
Because this week, I am celebrating the launch of this website.
It’s not just a new website. It’s beautifully rebranded with new colors, new fonts, and a new logo - all of which feel aligned with me and my business right now.
Over the years, my business has gone through many iterations. My old, DIY website came through all of the transitions with me. I’m proud of what I created and grateful for everything I learned as my own website manager.
But, this website feels like a next step in my business - both as a better reflection of the work I do and as an example of the magic that can happen when I let things go off of my plate and into the hands of experts.
🎉 I want to share a huge thank you to Gigi at One6Creative. She was an absolutely brilliant partner throughout the process. Her ability to create something that feels so me is truly incredible. She also modeled an approach to collaboration that left me feeling empowered and supported.
🎉 I want to give another thank you to Delia Monk, who partnered beautifully with Gigi and me and crafted words for the landing page that made one of my first visitors say, “we could use your help in my office.”
I'm also so grateful for the people who provided testimonials and other reflections on me and my work. Those perspectives truly helped shape the site and mean the world to me.
Taking the time to celebrate the website and the people who helped make it happen has breathed new energy and enthusiasm into me for the other goals that are on my list this year.
So here’s a gentle reminder for all of us:
Celebration isn’t a nice to have, it’s a must-have. It communicates appreciation and recognition, energizes you and your team, and creates momentum.
It also brings positive energy to create balance to the things that feel hard, uncertain, or strifeful.
It takes time and intention to celebrate. So, let's take advantage of this very moment and to reflect: What are YOU celebrating right now? Big or small, embrace the power in it.
